It wasn’t until my late 40’s that I discovered yoga while training at a local gym. From those first awkward classes, I developed an appreciation for my yoga teacher and a consistent yoga practice. Having successfully transitioned my first career in accounting to my second career as a benefits administrator, I began to formulate a plan for my third career as a yoga teacher.
After researching several yoga teacher training programs, I settled on a distinguished yoga teacher named Lex Gillan I completed Lex’s 200-hour yoga teacher training program in July 2014, but had to prioritize my career over yoga temporarily… It would be ten years before I could prioritize teaching yoga. After reaching out to Lex in March 2024, I completed Lex’s 200-hour yoga teacher training course for a second time. Shortly thereafter, I founded RESILIENTsmb and now my vision has come into focus and I am blessed to be able to teach yoga.
In my opinion, a consistent yoga practice is beneficial in maintaining your body. I encourage you to challenge yourself and develop a yoga practice that improves your strength, mobility and balance. Be Resilient.
